What you will get to do:

This role exists to support reporting, processes, and operational analytics surround Health Services clinical programs. Additionally, this role will work with Healthcare Economics to bridge the gap between them and Health Services. Primary responsibility for the analyst is to support the manager of finance for Health Services to analyze, understand, and report operational metrics to various stakeholders (internal or external) about the Clinical Programs. Operational metrics may include financial reporting, trend analytics, and data management.

This role assists the manager with financial modeling around these programs or any other Health Services initiatives. This requires successful utilization of various data sources, as well as use of data management, data manipulation, and statistical techniques. Knowledge and creativity are required to develop solutions and monitor those solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Major: Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science

Specific types of experience or skills required:
  • Ability to think outside the box and bring new ideas to projects
  • Experience analyzing health care, pharmacy claims, or large datasets 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of management on a variety of financial issues
  • Ability to analyze, coordinate, and document numerous projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Skills:
  • Presentation experience or desire to present data
  • Prior experience building dashboards or operational reporting
  • BI tool and/or data query languages. i.e. Tableau, Qlikview, Qliksense, SAS, SQL, Python, C++
  • Clinical program experience. i.e. CCMS, Care Manager
  • Attention to detail and understanding of big picture impacts
